What is forensic provenance?
Every dictation session generates a cryptographic receipt proving what was said, when it was said, and that it was never altered.
The transcript is hashed with SHA-256 using your browser's built-in SubtleCrypto API — the same algorithm used by banks and governments.
Nothing leaves your browser. No audio is recorded. No data is sent to any server. The provenance receipt is a JSON file you download locally. If you change even one character of the transcript, the hash will no longer match — proving the text is unaltered since the moment of dictation.
This tool exists because typing accommodation is a right, not a privilege. Speech-to-text with forensic provenance means your dictated words carry the same evidentiary weight as typed ones — with a cryptographic audit trail that typed text never had.
